At 60″, this walnut table top it the widest I have made to date. It was fashioned from 6/4 walnut and is 82″ long. It will be installed at a later date onto a base being provided by the client.

As a rule I always insist on crafting complete pieces of furniture, not just components, as I do not like to surrender creative control of the final look, but this time I made an exception.

My understanding is that it will be finished with a hand applied coating such as tung oil or wax, bringing out the rich dark brown tones and allowing a wonderful patina to develop over time.
