This beautiful wormy maple harvest table has a 1 1/2″ top sitting on a sturdy ebonized red oak base. Legs are 4″ thick. |The base is sealed with an acrylic lacquer while the top is varnished. The spalting and worm damage in the maple provides for a dramatic effect. The bread board ends ensure that the table will never cup. 72″L x 40″W x 30″H.
To highlight the worm holes while providing a smooth surface, those holes were filled with a mixture of coffee grounds and epoxy glue before sanding and sealing.
