This beautiful custom made solid cherry built-in bookcase stands 94″ high, runs for about 17 feet, and the shelves are about 11 1/4″ deep’. With 7 adjustable shelves per section, the area under the window is topped with a detailed seat that can also be used as an additional shelf. The crown moulding is made up from four individual parts in the traditional way, providing a continuous top for display.
To keep the look light and elegant, the face frames were kept narrow and much of the project needed to be assembled on site.
This piece was fashioned using wood harvested from the client’s own property, and then air dried for over a decade, waiting to be transformed into something beautiful.
