This details of this clear pine chest of drawers was patterned after an existing 19th century piece within the client’s home, complete with turned columns, heavy top moulding, and turned feet. With dovetailed drawers gliding on central runners, the drawers slide smoothly and with ease. The seven drawers are largest at the bottom and then get progressively smaller towards the top. The doors reveal an adjustable shelf. Dovetailed stretchers to keep the carcass true and square over the decades. Measuring 72 1/2″H x 32″W x 19″D.
Not requiring a hard protective finish, this piece has been sealed with a coloured wax, a finish that can be quickly repaired in the case of bumps, scratches, or abrasions, and one that develops a lovely patina over time, enhancing its character an charm.
