This acrylic model ship display case and transportation box was constructed for a local museum, so they could safely transport and display a beautiful model ship at various public events and venues. The acrylic case has a solid cherry and plywood base and measures about 31 1/2″L x 13 1/2″W x 16 1/2″H.
The painted wooden case is about 3″ larger all around, is lined with foam cushioning to prevent scratching to the acrylic while handling, and is secured with four clasps. There are two carrying handles.
The foam strip between the display case plywood bottom and cherry base provide a continuous barrier, preventing small spiders and other insects from making their way into the display.
