Interlocking maple benches

This set of 7 interlocking maple benches was designed to fit into the turret of the Craigleith Heritage Depot, providing a place for visitors to relax in the sun, look over Georgian Bay, and read. We settled on a bench style reminiscent of those originally used by the Grand Trunk Railroad, for which the Craigleith Railroad Station was built. The height of the bench backs were constrained by the height of the window sills. Finished with dye, stain, and varnish.
