This gorgeous 40″ x 72″ harvest table is made from curly maple. Curly maple is a type of naturally occurring grain pattern that makes the wood look like it is covered in small water ripples or waves, but it is in fact perfectly smooth. The base is painted with black paint and tung oil to match the set of six traditional hand made Windsor chairs that were crafted for the table, while the top is hand rubbed varnish.
As the wood ages and darkens, the wave effect of the curly maple will only become more dramatic.
