Cherry Queen platform bed frame

This solid cherry Queen-sized platform bed frame was designed specifically for a Casper mattress, which does not use a box spring. Thus the top of the mattress is just 24″ off the floor while the supporting slats are just 3 3/4″ apart. The cherry boards were sourced from the client’s own forest. Because the bed will sit in the centre of the bedroom, there is no “bad” side, and the head board panels extend to the lower stretcher, just 8″ off the floor. The wood has been sealed with several coats of a wipe-on solvent-based varnish. I am hoping to get a better photo once construction on the new home is complete. 60″H x 66″W x 86″L.
