I developed this hand made stool for the Meaford Chamber of Commerce silent auction, but I like it so much I am now offering it as part of my seating catalogue.
Designed to be light and delicate in appearance, it incorporates all the trademark elements of the Windsor chair, renowned for comfort, elegance, and robustness. I am hoping to track down some nice seasoned apple wood so I can use that for the seat. This one is made of black cherry and ebonized red oak. It is 24″ high, suitable as a stand-alone stool or at a kitchen counter, although any height is possible.
I am now on the hunt for some apple wood so that I can offer apple wood seats, given that Meaford is located in the heart of Ontario’s apple growing region and incorporates the apple as part of its municipal crest.
