Meaford stools with character

My Meaford Collection was very well received at the Canadian Furniture Show. Since then, I have focussed these lovely stools into art and furniture galleries across the province, where they can be seen.

I am pleased to say that they can now be found in Owen Sound, Meaford, Orillia, and Hawksbury, with the possibility of a gallery in Toronto.  To truly appreciate these stools’ beauty and comfort they need to be seen, touched, and sat upon…. so getting them where the discerning public can access is important.

Because stool height is determined by where it will be used, I have begun making a line of stool seats for which the legs are custom ordered. With this in mind, my latest line of seats is fashioned from wood with a great deal of character and, often, feature live edge and various epoxy elements. The disadvantage of this approach is that the customer cannot see and test the finished product in their local gallery, but, on the other hand, once the legs are attached they cannot be modified. Just recently I took a chance and added 24″ ebonized legs to an exquisite sugar maple and epoxy stool seat that was going on display in a local gallery, only to have a potential customer immediately fall in love with it… but they needed the stool to be 2″ higher!
