I recently salvaged two 9 1/2′ long church pews from St Marys church. More precisely, the read oak seats and a couple of kneelers. Church pews make excellent accent pieces in any home and are perfect for the porch or entrance way but are rarely small enough to fit the space available. Using these materials I will fashion your pew to whatever length you want, up to 57″. Although the old finish has been stripped off, the wood still retains some of the original character and patina developed from decades of use within St Marys. Think of the weddings, funerals, Christmas masses, and celebrations they have seen! The restless children and the spilled tears caught from sorrow and joy. The ends of your pew will be replicas of the originals, less the engraved cross. Dimension: 35″H x 21 1/2″D x custom Length.
The two kneelers have green leather cushions and are made to fit a 57″ pew. Be aware that the kneelers might require the pew to sit a couple of inches away from the wall. The kneelers can be shortened, if necessary, for an additional fee.
Prices quoted are for a single pew, up to 57″ long. Finished in your choice of stain and an oil or chair maker’s topcoat. Add $150 for a kneeler.
